Meizu Me The Blog

I will purchase the Meizu M8 miniOne. Not only because it is necessary in order for me to run the fan site Meizu Me, but more because I believe it will be a great phone.

For those that don’t know, the Meizu M8 is the phone often coined as the iPhone clone. And sure enough, it does seem have an iPhone inspired design. Due to this, the Meizu M8 has been featured on virtually all gadget news sites and gained lots of publicity. In this case, “all publicity is good publicity” for Meizu. Why?

I recall many months back when the Meizu M6 (Mini Player) was announced, the scenario was similar. Some called the initial pictures photoshopped by Apple fanboys, but when they later learnt about the product, the next label was “iPod clone”. But as time progressed, what happened? Slowly, people dropped the term “clone” when they started realizing what the little player was capable of. Today, I dare say that Meizu is the number one Chinese company abroad, in terms of popularity, acclaim and fame.

I am confident that people will start to recongnize the qualities of the M8 too when it’s released, which is why I haven’t jumped into discussions defending the product from critique.
